Attendees Invited to "Walk this Way!" at BIO with a Healthy Pedometer Contest

When Canada was named the best place to do business in a healthy environment, the Canadian Department of Economic Affairs turned to 3D Media to develop a promotion that would promote this award and increase traffic to their booth at BIO. Since there are such great health benefits to walking and attendees always walk so much on the tradeshow floor, 3D Media developed the “Walk this Way!” promotion, a daily BIO pedometer-walking contest.
Branded kiosks were placed in the lobby where attendees were given a branded pedometer; they could then follow a footpath leading them directly to Canada’s booth where they could register and enter in the contest. At each days end, contestants reported back to the kiosk with the distance they walked during the day. A branded leader board kept track of walking leaders and winners were awarded daily in addition to grand prize winners at the close of the expo.

3D Media Offers New Off-Site Promotion for Regional Companies to Showcase their Facilities to Event Attendees

3D Media is proud to add the Facility & Plant Tour to our mix of off-site promotions that are intended to provide partners with a new revenue stream during their events. The promotion is an innovative way for facility operators or manufacturers to showcase their local facilities, manufacturing techniques or properties through a hosted day-long tour. 3D Media will coordinate an off-site tour before or after your tradeshow and invite specific guests to come and visit the facilities of regional companies of interest.
As part of the program, 3D Media will personally invite the partner’s pre-selected group of targeted guests to participate in the tour through a custom pre-event sales and invitation campaign. 3D Media Takes the AARP Off-Site for "Day of Play"

When the AARP approached 3D Media with a goal of expanding their sponsorship revenue at their 3-Day conference, we thought why not turn it into a 4-Day event and create additional opportunities for sponsorship for a full-day offsite event we called “Day of Play.” With this goal in mind, we invited C-level attendees to come in a day early for the conferences to participate in three fun social events throughout the day.
- The "AARP Day of Play" included these events:
- 5K Run/Walk – Attendees were invited to participate in a 5K fun run promotion complete with an aerobics instructor to warm up the racers and a scripted awards ceremony at the close of the event. 3D Media managed the race site procurement, on-site delivery, branding opportunities, T-shirts, bib numbers, pins, start banner, awards banner, water, A/V equipment and a photographer to capture the event.
- Golf Outing – Golf-loving attendees could participate in a social golf outing, which included transportation to and from the event, welcome golf bag, a full golf tournament, box lunches and an awards ceremony with fun awards and prizes. 3D Media managed all facets of the event that included pre-event operations and on-site execution.
- Wine Pour – Guests gathered at the close of the day for a wine tasting event of some of the world’s finest and unknown wine labels. Wine experts from each vineyard poured and educated guests while tantalizing their pallets. As guests entered the relaxed intimate environment of the wine pour, they received a brochure, complete with tasting information and sponsorship messaging.
After targeting and sending invitations to 16,000 attendees, we were able to get 3,000 C-level executives to fly in early and attend the event that was fully scripted by event sponsors. The result? A perfect day for all parties involved.

3D Media Greets VIPs to BIO in Style

The Georgia Economic Development Agency approached 3D Media with a goal of reaching key decision makers attending BIO that handled big corporate real estate moves. We decided that that we could target these VIPs with an invitation to an exclusive airport “Meet & Greet” promotion upon their arrival to the event. After creating a target list of 3,000 attendees, our partner hand selected 400 CEOs to personally invite via email for airport pick-up upon their arrival to the BIO event.
3D Media received an incredible response of 200 CEOs that signed up for the service. In fact, we received such a great response to the VIP Meet and Greet that our partner decided to expand the service to include a 24/7 on-call car service as well.
- The VIP Meet & Greet promotion included the following elements:
- Custom email invitation to participate in the program and confirmation email, complete with partner and show management messaging.
- 3D Media hosted 800-hotline number for all guest inquiries, airport onsite dispatch, and 24/7 on-call car service throughout the event.
- Welcome letter mailed out with VIP transportation cards listing the 800-number.
